"Salms have often been the first book to learn to read"
This unique collection updates the ancient language of Psalms, a language capable of communicating with every shade of human feeling, through the poetries of the writer Giusi Quarenghi. At the same time the illustrations of Anais Tonelli, whose shapes and colours are gentle, almost vanishing, reflect the suspended space of songs dedicated to an uncertain listener and rediscover the tradition of illuminated manuscripts and imaginative bestiary of those ancient manuscripts and cathedrals where they were made. A guide to recognise the world and yourself, that talks about the need of protection and absolute that dwells in the human heart, to meet fear, joy, anger, love, despair, the charm that we all experience, young and old. A collection of poetries that starts from the ancient periods of the biblical texts and arrives to our age, with the intact strenght and the incomparable intensity of a very current testimony.
