Nina Pieper was born in Dresden, Germany in 1998. She studied Visual Communication at KHB Berlin from 2017 to 2018. Following this she worked at a printing workshop and bookshop specialized in children's literature. Since 2020 Nina has been pursuing a degree in Visual Communication (Illustration) at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle, Germany. Her first picture book Nightwalking was part of the Illustrators Exhibition at Bologna Children’s Book Fair and the unpublished picture book showcase (dPictus) in 2025. She mainly works with acrylics, ink and colored pencils.
